Public Consultation on Recycling Centre Bookings
Following an evaluation of the recycling centre booking system pilot, ECC has held a public consultation on retaining a booking process at all Essex Recycling Centres. The public consultation ran for six weeks from 9 October until 19 November and received over 18,000 responses.
A Member briefing was held on 3 October. You can view the recording here and the presentation here.
The results have been analysed by an independent research company. The report is now available on ECC’s consultation portal Citizen Space, alongside our Final Evaluation Report and previous documents related to the pilot and consultation.
Following the full evaluation of the pilot and analysis of the consultation responses, a decision was taken on 27 February 2024 to permanently retain the booking process for cars and vans at all sites. Blue Badge holders, pedestrians and cyclists are not required to book.
