Most online sessions are recorded and available to watch later, giving flexibility around other commitments. Members are encouraged to attend as many sessions as possible, but we do understand you’ll have other commitments and want to make this as manageable for you as possible. All ECC Member briefing: Prevent

- Prevent is part of the UK Government’s wider Counter Terrorism Strategy. Its aim is to reduce the threat of terrorism by preventing people from being drawn into terrorism or supporting extremist ideologies. Prevent operates in a similar way to other safeguarding approaches, focusing on early intervention, protecting vulnerable individuals and young people, and building resilience within communities.

Highways and Transportation colleagues would like to invite members to a presentation which will cover how Winter Service is delivered by the council. The presentation will help improve members understanding of this safety critical service delivered during the winter season and cover a wide range of elements in the service. Members can expect to learn about: our Winter Maintenance Policy, how de-icing works, our precautionary network routes and domains, how decisions are made and communicated, where the service is delivered from and by who, how to follow or track a gritter on Twitter, Salt bins, Salt bags partnership, where to find information about the Winter Service.
